A few years ago [as in, when Good Mourning first came out] I had a dream that my good friend Matt died. Matt and I always shared a love for Alkaline Trio. In my dream, I had gotten a tattoo to show my love for him and our favorite band.
I was just on Every Time I Die’s myspace looking at people with ETID tattos. There are some cool ones and some really lame ones. It got me wondering what kind of trio-related tattoos I could find on the interweb. I kid you not, I did a google image search and the tattoo I had gotten in my dream was the one above.
freaky.

2008 was a year like none other. Wait…I lied. The last few years have been very up and down as far as emotions go. I finally had the courage to let go of the biggest waste of my life. I am happy to be over him. I am happy that I have moved on to someone so incredibly spectacular, that sometimes I don’t think I deserve him.
I went on two AMAZING vacations this year. I went to San Diego in April to celebrare the previously mentioned waste of my life for his birthday. Thanks to American Airlines sucking asshole, I wasted most of my first day at O’hare waiting to get on a flight. Three hours in line, running down two terminals, and three more hours later, I was on a flight via United bound for San Diego. The zoo and the beach were the most memorable places I’ve ever been to. Given the opportunity, I would move to California.
I also went to Florida as well in October. I spent a few days in Disney World with my Aunt, Uncle, and cousin Jake. Disney was everything I remembered and more. You truely do feel like a kid again when you’re there. After that, we met the rest of my family in Sarasota. A few days on the beach never hurt anyone, right? :) I came back with a banging tan.
My friendship with three people really strengthened this year. With Nikkie…we had a very up and down year. Not speaking for a few months made work a little stressful. In the end though, we talked and worked things out. I can say that we are better friends because of it. Now she lives in Milwaukee, and I feel like one of my great girlfriends is gone :( With Brad…He was always there for me to talk about my relationship issues, and what I was going through with Mike. I trust him with a lot of my secrets. It will be a really sad day next year when the stupid Marines take him from me. But I know it’s what he wants to do with his life. As far as Hartman goes. He got a job at the OG with me and it def. made work a lot more fun for me. We had a few incidents where I didn’t think one of us would come out alive. As Alkaline Trio said…At least we’re still friends. At least we’re still alive. :)
As I said before, I met someone so incredible in the last few months. His name is Jason, and he is just…amazing. Never have I met someone with such a great energy. He is caring and kind. He makes me laugh, he makes me smile, and he makes me realize that my life isn’t as shitty as I once thought. I am very excited to be starting off 2009 with someone as great as he is.
I also got to see one of my best friends get married! Kristi and Kevin were married on the 15th of November. It was a nice cold day for us, but it was lots of fun. It was my first time standing up in a wedding, and although I was dateless, I had a awesome time. I wish I could wear my bridesmaid dress every day of my life…but unfortunately, it’s still in the trunk of my car. hahaha.
I’m sure I am forgetting a ton of stuff that happened in 2008. I turned 24…woo…. haha.
I am saving the best for last though. The best thing by far that went on in 2008 was purchasing the greatest dog in the whole wide world. My little nugget-butt Kasha. Although she has been a little shithead for most of the time, I am ever so thankful to have her. She is my little monster, and I love her so so so soooo much.
